Wash n Go on 4c hair

Hey there! I wanted to try a wash n go today, so I washed my hair today. Detangled with a conditioner( the trea tree oil one from trader joes), washed it out and applied eco styling gel ( the brown one) while my hair still was still wet. I am pretty sure my hair type is 4c. I have curls but most are not defined well. I have a considerable amount of shrinkage. Boo. But I still love the style. It is still a little wet. It takes forever for my hair to dry.
