OPI: Jade is the New Black

Did this right before class.. !
Kinda rushed.. and slight dent I think.. argh
But I wanted some color today!
I don't usually like greens.. But I like this one..
I feel kinda bad ass with this color..
So I wore my grey Led Zeppelin shirt... a short purple skirt.. and my converse shoes..
I'm probably a hipster today/rocker chick.

This pic below is not in the light. My desk light is really yellow.
Two coats..
Really nice application.
Super Shiny without a top coat..
however, I put some opi topcoat on and it's really really shiny now..
can't stop looking at it...

ahhh I love the shiny.

Pride Parade

I usually go to the Gay Pride Parade..or Pride (it's a really big deal here... it's SF!)
...but I didn't this year.. ohh well..
Have fun my friends.

But to honor my lesbian/gay/bi/transgender friends..(lgbt)
I made a rainbow notd.. today!

Every girl should have at least one gay guy friend..
Seriously. They tell the truth...and won't take your man.
They might try though..lol

(in other news.. My point and shoot camera broke.. the macro lens doesn't focus anymore and makes weird noises....)

*I'm using my architecture camera now.. I really don't want to use it because it's really heavy..doesn't have macro...and it's hard to take pictures with just one hand... ehh.. I have to be really really careful!)

Sinful Colors: Soul Mate

Sinful Colors: Soul Mate

(sorry about the blurry pics..
still learning!)

Salmon Pink?
Pastel Coral?
One of my FAVORITE colors in my stash!

However, this is  awful to apply!
I HATE it.

I've never had such a thick, pasty polish!!!
(how the heck did they make it PASTY?!!!!)

3 coats! Oh my.

It dries pretty...
a pretty finish.

I love you again polish!!
I seriously LOVE you polish.

Maybe that's why they call it Soul Mate..
Even with the flaws you will still love it..

Angelique Kidjo Concert Today

My sleep is all weird because of the world cup schedule.. ehh so fun though

Going to the 'city' today.. (san francisco)
Free concert in the park!
Need to get there early to get a good place..! omg she is sooo sooo AMAZING!

Milani: Disco Lights... time to party

Milani: Disco Lights
From work to party time.
Put one layer of this over my franken pink.
Will probably use this a lot!
This one is fun.
A little gritty.. but I put a topcoat on it so it is smooth.
Pictures are kinda blurry. Too much coffee.. couldn't hold the camera still enough..
really overcast day today..  no good light

Accidental Franken

This sort of thing only happens to me... seriously...
How do you BREAK an OPI bottle?

Last night I was trying to organize all my nail polishes in one place to give away the ones I hate to the Zoya Exchange.

I found this one polish I didn't remember buying, hmm..
OPI Mother Road Rose..?
Well I wanted to try it on!!!
But it was stuck... really really really stuck...
So I decided to give this one to Zoya.
But I came back to it.
I was so annoyed that I didn't remember how this color looked like..

I was determined to open it.

I soaked it in some nail polish remover.
Turned and turned. Nothing
Hot water.
Turned. argh.
Tapped it on the counter.

Oops.. oh noo!
Polish and glass and mess.. oh my..

Instead of being nervous about the mess, I was concerned about saving the polish.

I have a problem.

There wasn't that much polish left, so I added
some clear polish..
and white Ruby Kisses: French White

A Franken PINK!
My first!

I like how it looks like a cream from far away, but it really has some shimmer!!
My camera can't really capture it right. She's pretty. Very Dirty Pink/Mauve like.
Reminds me of fall weather.

*And the OPI: Mother Road Rose nail polish belonged to my mother..
I have a habit of 'borrowing' things from her..
  How fitting.

Future Husband: Asamoah Gyan

A break from nail polish for
Ghanaian Soccer Player:
My future husband
Asamoah Gyan!!!

He is soooo beautiful!
We would make the pretty pretty children! *Swoon *Swoon. Look at those cheekbones!

He seems like such a goofball too... haha like me!

Ok so maybe I'm more into the eye candy, and not so much the world cup game.

He's a little younger though ... an '85! I'm a really late '83.. well almost and '84..2 years.. Not so bad..
He looks a little older though..but I look like I'm 12 years old..  It will work.. Yes it will..

Ghana won today!

woo go ghana!
did this last night...
these fingers are the best ones..

red: wet 'n wild: Red Red
gold: sinful colors: This Is It
green: wet n' wild: Caribbean Frost
black star: opi: Black Onyx

N.Y.C. polyester pink creme

This is the real deal pink.
I really like how creamy and light and spring/happy it is.
I really hate how it goes on though.
It is sheer, and goopy, and bubbly, and takes about 4 coats to get it to be pink.
So, I've been experimenting with whites underneath.  That helps.

base coat + white + 1 layer of pink = Pink on my nails
base coat + white + 2 layers of pink = Solid pink. meh..

It was cheap, I'm not complaining.     25 cents...hehe
I figure when I master this,
Any other nail polish will look awesome on me.
But I do LOVE this color.
It is such a sweet nice girly color.

Next blog:

I'm American, but my dad is from Ghana.
I was going to do Polish Hoarder Challenge but.. I was too lazy.. and I forgot it ended
Friday not Sunday. For some reason I thought it ended Sunday.. ah wells..

Ghana is in the World Cup on Monday. I will root for them!

*Acetone-Free...?hmm (update)

Last night I tried:

The new "CVS Biodegradable Formula Polish Remover"

con: It smells a bit when you FIRST OPEN it-- like propane gas.
- Is it because of the "Dimethyl Methylglutante" listed as an ingredient?

pro: When it is airing out, it doesn't smell so bad... actually nice.

con: Takes a while to remove.

pro: You don't need a lot of product to remove polish. I dipped my cotton pad ONCE
and removed all the polish on my right hand.

pro: DID NOT dry my nails out!

pro: Feels nice and moisturizing. Maybe it's the aloe extract in it.

Well, there are 4 PROS and 2 CONS. I think I like this product.
I would use it again. Good Buy. YEY!

PRICE: $4.99

BONUS: My nails do not hate me today.

I entered Nails Etc, giveaway!

Check out her blog....and enter too!
Enter by june 13.. or else it's too late..
She's giving away 16 used nail polish.

Acetone-Free...? hmm

Today = hot mess.
Have you ever walked around all day with you shirt on INSIDE OUT!

I was wondering why people were looking at me strange...

I thought it was just my crazy hands: chipped nails on the right, and natural on the left.

I only removed half of the polish because I was so sick of acetone on my nails! It feels funny, makes my nails dry. blechk

So I was at my CVS today and I spotted this new "NON-ACETONE" product...!

I'm going to try it now..then get ready to sleep.

This blog is for finding pretty shades of color.

One day I was feeling blue. I painted my nails pink that day. Suddenly, a strange feeling came over me -- that pretty pop of color made me feel better.

Since then, I have become hooked.

I like pink shades the most. Why Pink?

I hope this blog is not too boring.
I'm not a professional. I'm not a makeup person.

Sometimes I just need color on my nails!
