Hey everyone,
My computer crashed.... Again! After I spent soo much money fixing it. It crashed in less than a month. I think there is a recall.So, I might have to look into it.

But yeah as the title goes. I also decided to be more greedy.
Meaning, I probably will not do any more giveaways.
Sorry, I'm a student with limited funds.... And nail polish really makes me happy.

But, whenever I had a giveaway to thank my readers, I would get so many people with not the right intentions...ie. "must win win win win win win win everything" following me. Um eewww. and I feel bad.

I decided that it was not a bad or disgraceful thing for me to not have giveaways.
I'm going to embrace my greedy badass mofo side....because sometimes you really just have to take care of yourself first before you give of yourself to others.

I only want to thank my readers, and be inspired by the people who really love nail polish.
They will love my craziness with or without giveaways.

Hello! Here is a sexy red. I'm getting into reds now. I used to have a couple of old old reds. Now I have more. This is NYX- gentleman prefers red. It is really pigmented. Even when I did some clean up there is red still. This is two coats. Application is smooth and nice. I love this color. Deep lovely red.

Hello!Long time no post!Hope your holidays went well.I'm usually a huge mess from Nov-Jan.I don't like finals.And this time we had a group final for one class.This made me really annoyed;. I swear some people are just not fun to work with.Um.. what else and the holidays...yeah.... crazy family, birthdays, etc.heheI've have been de stressing by learning how to knit.Here are some of my projects.I'm also having an identity crisis. I usually really like cute things. Cute bears, the color pink, cute pink things etc.

But recently, I've just been annoyed.I want to wear black/darker colors/"bad ass" colors and clothes and such.I don't know.Well, I will keep my blog name for now. Yey pinknailblog! I probably just have to get it out of my system.But I'm into black/grey/navy blues now.yes. black clothes, black leather, black smokey makeup.haha"Don't mess with me.." type of clothes.. yeah. I really can't stand pink right now. I know... shocking right! It's really a big shock to me.. because I really do love pink. I just feel like I'm going to throw up if I have a pink mani right now. Sorry for being away.I shall do my nails later. Possibly black/splatter ness. Anyhoo. I'll be mani blogging soon. mm but now, I'm going to start a new knitting project. hehe .

Bah I hate group projects. I need some added nail polish happiness. Lots of work...with groups! ack. I have just been wearing no polish. So sorry for lack of posting.

Well, I save my 'special' polishes. I should wear them more though. This is DS glamour. I found it hiding under a dusty shelf at the nail shop and it was the last one. Yey! They rarely have DS series stuff. That was a very lucky day. I wish I had more finds like that. :-D

OPI glamour is 2 coats of yummy holo powers. Nice application... and super pretty. I like it.

Belated Pink Wed - Pink Stash!

Hey there. Long time no post. Just finished a big school project...but there are is another one now due. lol

I'm a busy person and I'm really not the most organized. I really try to be, as I'm inspired by you awesome nail polish ladies. So, this is my pink stash and more! I always was kind of embarrased to show my stash. I think there are many more polishes in random places as well. ehh It's really scary when you put everything together. I'm not crazy. I just like nail polish.. sigh

Well, I moved one of my clothes organizers into the bathroom to place my ever growing nail polish collection/hair supplies/makeup/etc into these. They are not the famous 'helmers' BUT they are from IKEA. I think they are called Antonius or something like that. It's a very light storage system. There are pretty cheap. I think 30 dollars. The cloth baskets, I think are the most expensive thing of the unit... maybe 6 dollars for one basket. They are not very sturdy so don't put a lot of polish in it. I have wire baskets as well, which are cheaper. I think they are 3 dollars. They are stronger and better for the heavy polish. But hey, this is what I got. I don't feel like getting a helmer. :-p

Wet n Wild: Show Stopper glitter eyeshadow

Review: Wet n Wild- Show Stopper(lots of picts!)

Pros: 1. Many colors
          2. Affordable,
          3. Glitter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! glittttttttttttteeeeeer! mmmm....
          4. I love the brushes that they provide.
              ...One side is normal and the other side is tapered for lining eyes.
          5. I really looooove the copper shade. It's super highly pigmented!
Cons: 1.The glitter is only on the top layer!!!!!!! what the heck!!! it says glitter..more like glitter cream
          2. I kind of feel duped. I thought it was all glitter!
        3. Some of the colors are not that pigmented.
          4. Takes a lot more product to get the color out of the 2 blacks and the light baby blue!

I never really wear makeup. I'm more of a tomboy.

I always liked playing with nerdy boy things..ie. legos, log cabin, etc I used to tie rubber bands to my barbies and make them yo-yos, because I wanted a yo-yo and a slinky for Christmas. hehe

Well, makeup is my new fun. Hopefully, I shall learn to swatch these better. I have hairy arms in macro. ahehe :-D. I have lots of hair.

Green for Depression Awareness Month

Hello. Today I decide to wear one of my favorite polishes.

I love this polish. I looooove me some green. This is easily one coat. But here is 2. No topcoat.

This is also for depression awareness for the month of October. I suffer from depression and other anxiety/ health issues that I really never feel comfortable talking about. No one really understands what I go through and there is much stigma. So only close friends know my struggles.

So many years dealing deblitating with anxiety/depression. I always felt ashamed because my family member would call me lazy or a loser. Not knowing they are just ignorant of mental health issues.

It's kind of crazy and ridiculous. In part I noticed that many black people don't want to talk about that kind of stuff. And there are many families who want to pretend that they are 'perfect' while drowing in addictions.

I wish there were more people out there who were as amazing as some of my closest friends who understand depression and other mental health issues. Life is hard. But I just keep going on.

Friends Help. School Helps. Finding help from treatments helps. Nail polish helps. Sometimes I feel anxious and don't want to go outside.. but I might push myself to at least go to the nail polish shop which is just a block away. So that helps from not spiraling too far.

Just one day at a time. Some days are good some days are bad. So, I cherish the good things a lot more.

Depression is a real illness.
People should be kinder to each other.

Kind of crusty without topcoat. I don't know why the bottle(looks metallic) looks nothing like the finished crackle. I don't understand crackle sometimes...?

I saw a whole new line at my local addict store. 2012 all crackles! I decided to try the pink one of course. I decided to wear this today. The base coat black is OPI: Black Onyx.The bottle looked metallic, but when you put it on it dries poofy and kind of weird looking. I don't understand crackle sometimes. *sigh* But it looks pretty good with topcoat! yey. I really like the final outcome. 2012 is a must use with topcoat. My topcoat bubbled a little because the fan was on. But overall I like this mani.

A matte suede polish. Um, I didn't expect it to be so sheer. This is 3 coats. The application was good. I'm not sure if it's hot or if it is the formula but it dries kind of bumpy. The polish bottle had iridescence in it, so I think I was pretty bummmed that it did not really show up. Despite that, I think I decided I still like this. White polish is kind of cool!

Halloween Oranges

I don't really do orange. So, I went on a quest to find some at the local nail store. These 3 new additions, plus another wet n' wild and another Sinful orange glitter are what I have. So now I have 5 oranges. I'm trying new things here people!

For me, orange reminds me of prison uniforms, sf giants games, and hot dogs/fast food. I'm not sure I'm into them. But it's Halloween! I must try.

MMMM, well this is not so much working for me. It's a decent application. However, it is 4 coats. You still will get huge VNL. This is a very sheer orange. I think this is meant to be put over white. It looks like a jelly in the bottle... but I really think this is actually a neon if put over white. It's very bright.

Then I went back to try another orange. Pop Culture. This one is shimmery and less in your face bright. It's pretty and shimmery. Application is good. However, this one is pretty sheer as well. 4 coats and still VNL. *sigh* It's nice though to layer over another color polish like white or black.

Ok this orange was pretty. Very hot dog orange. LOL. No VNL yey. This one is just right. Well, that's my orange polish adventure I was doing last week. I found some oranges I can play with. hair sunday is back

Woo. Hair Sunday! Man, I've been bad. My hair needs attention. I promise to keep this up. Well, after we moved, we tossed many hair products away. However, the hair junkie of the house quickly replenished the supply. --side note. For this post, I don't know why the hair junkie got kid products.The junkie buys hair products with no discernment. If it's new, the junkie must get!! Hmm sounds like my nail polish problem. Anyway....

Here is a shampoo I tried just now. Just for me: hair milk.
Um it really stings my eyes!!!!
Like it hurts like crazy. Do not get this in your eye!
It's ok standard shampoo. It kind of dries you hair out a little too much. You know stipping the hair oils. Not my fav, but it it does it's job.

And this is some curly moisturizer I used. Curly Q Custard. It's really light. Not greasy. I like it. And it smells good as well. I braided my hair in sections and placed this stuff on. My hair is almost dry and it feels soft in the braids. I like this product.

Ok I go now get ready for tomorrow.

Woo it this weekend is hot. I needed nail polish therapy after the whole pink hearts disaster. I went to walgreens to get air-conditioning as well. Initially, I was going to the nail store because I noticed that they updated their China Glaze with some more crcakles... ehh but it was too hot to walk all the way there. I'm not sure I REALLY wanted/needed crackle. So, this is what I got.

I saw all these art brushes.. 25 brushes...many of them tiny.. yey for nail art/makeup applications

some cool makeup. I usually don't buy makeup... but you blogger pple make me more interested

some revlons that were on sale...matte suede and a metallic gold!

ok..Hey people....well the idea was the cutest thing ever. Pink hearts/purple heart polish!!!!!
Hmm, I got this right before I moved in the during the summer. But forgot about it until now. Um, I guess during that time it dried out and all the pretty hearts got clumped on the bottom. So, I finally got some nail polish thinner. I'm going to fix it... right..? um no.."Not so fast Lady! You can't fix this. I'm a biiiiig hot mess!', this polish tells me...hmmph

I don't know.... this is not even polish. It dried! It was goopy. I put in the thinner. Lots and lots of thinner but it was still stuck like glue. Then, I got the end of a stick and tried to get out the hearts. The shape of the bottle is horrible! I couldn't get the hearts out becuase of the weird angle of the bottle. They just all accumulated in the 'no mans land' ! argh. I finally loosened it up a little. And dumped some of the polish in a container. But most of the hearts are just stuck in the bottle. The consistency of the polish is gross. What the HECK! Polish shouldn't do this. I 've had polish for years.. like more than 10 years.. and those are still good. Argh, well I give up! No heart polish for me..

Mini Photo Box - tutorial

Hello people! Here is just a little thing I made to make me a more efficient blogger. I take too long finding the right background to take pictures. I've never taken pictures outside though, which is the best way to take picture--the best lighting

Well, um yeah.. I don't really want to do that. I'm shy. I don't want to cause attraction to myself.

So, I made 2 mini photoboxes based on the tutorial from Ice Queen. She is awesome! Check out her lovely blog!

I really don't have a big ass box. So, I made one out of materials I had.

1. trader joes boxes
2. an old folder from office max:
3. ruler
4. tape

The purple one I made first.
I made it purple and not white because my skin contrast too much sometimes with a white background.

The long way: Box 1
1. Take off the top of the box

2. Measure your folder to the dimensions of the box,
Measure twice, measure 3 times, measure 4 times...!
Cut/fold to the box once...

3. Also, leave plenty extra room on the outside flaps. This is so you can fold and fasten the folder to the box. I didn't leave enough room on the ends. Make larger than a inch. The folder paper is really thick so it's best to leave more to fold to the edge.

The Lazy Way: Box 2

excuse my nails.. i'm working on a separate polish project

1. Cut the top of the box off

2. Get some white paper,

3. Measure the box... and cut it to prepare to fit inside,


4. 'Squish' the paper in the box so it goes in vertically.
      a. Leave plenty of room on each side for the edges.
      b. When the paper fits inside, crease the inside edges so they are straight
c. Then fold the edges and tape the sides to fasten the paper down.

5. Repeat the process but do it now horizontally, layering the second piece of paper on top of step 4 paper.

6. Now you are done: Take pictures!
- This polish is from a recent haul. CVS had a 30% sale off wet n'wild. I got this pink:frosted fuchsia, some clear polish, some eyeshadow liner, a staple white polish, and wet n wild red red(the best red ever..!) Too bad there was only one left. I would have too them all. Yey sales.

-Note, Items in your photobox can only be as big as your photobox. Sorry.. No really tall products if your box is short.
-But it works for polish. Polish is tiny.

Procastination is bad. L.A. colors - metallic black

Ok, So I procrastinated by removing my nail polish last night, and I also procrastinated by finishing up another assignment that was not the original assignment. Then I feel asleep. I need to do work later.it's not due yet so I'm not so behind. I was too tired to do math/computer program stuff last night my brain couldn't compute.

hmm...Then I work up...tried to work..but took another break. To do nails! Woo this is really pretty.

2 coats, of yummy yummy ness. Applications is great. L.A. Colors has some fun stuff.
I think I really like these colors. I never thought I'd be a gunmetal metallic kinda of person. But this looks sooo nice and surprisingly chic on my nails!

Well, gotta put a topcoat.. on and then off the class. metallic goodness
booo boo boo.

a halloween scare....bank fees

This is me in solidarity with the protesters of Wall Street. No more banks charging us crazy fees. I'm prob going to use a credit union. I've always had bad experiences going into banks to deposit money, etc.

This is actually a class assignment. We had to use this sentence and others using 'fonts' to conveying meaning. The is called bullet holz, 'font' by tracertong. The banks are robbing you and the red is your blood. yeah..

That is not very nice. I need that 5 dollars to buy pink polish. I'm tired of companies telling us how and what to think.

Go f yourself.

I'm also going to buy polish from whomever has the best polish and treats customers right. No more crap from companies/corporations.Some stupid company...telling us what is beautiful, etc

Project Danielle gave me an award. I made the award picture all fancy because it's lunch time..and that's what I like to do when I'm on break. I rarely do these anymore. I'm sorry people. Don't be offended. There are just so many people to tag and it's so time consuming. So anyone who wants to do this can do it.

1. In high school I was obsessed with Rage Against the Machine. ......I was/am angsty

2. A couple years later. I met the bassist from Rage Against the Machine.I sat right next to him at a speech rally. mmm Mr. Tom Morello. .....he should be my future husband.....

3. I used to have a stuffed monkey, I'd take photographs of...ALL THE TIME
on planes.. on trips.. on Bart.(subways) at restaurants..

4. I called the monkey, Mad Monkey -Because his eyes were slanted. He looked mad.

5. I secretly think someone saw me doing this with my stuffed monkey. and based a cell phone commercial on this idea. hmph.... I get mad when I see the commercial.

6. I love watching Korean dramas: Coffee Prince!is the BEST THING I've ever WATCHED in my whole LIFE. EVER!! EVER!! EVER! go watch the series...It's on HULU!

7. I like to lift my shirt up over my lips when I'm working.....like a turtleneck. I have no idea why. I just do it all the time.

Many Many Stamping Images. Oh my...

ooooh stamping

I added some stamping to the NYX-Shimmer last night. I'm getting the hang of konading! My right hand was much better! Sorry, I forgot to take pics of it. Well, I tried to do many different plates but it is not quite right. I used bundle monster BM14, BM06, BM21, BM19...aaaand OPI: Black Onyx... hey if it works it works. I'm just learning, I will try to use more colors later!

I'm just a pretty disorganized person. So, I just work with the polish in front of me. I try to say I work well in chaos... my desk is messy, my art desk messy, closet full of mess. BUUT I know where everything is.... except last night I failed. I lost one of my plates. I really wanted to use the one with the diagonal strips. I have no idea where it went.

Side note: The best way to blog more for me is when I have lots of school work to do. Procrastination plus stress equals much more blogging. Hmm, as you may have noticed I changed the design of my blog , and I added a new watermark. lol. yes..I did finish my work! Well, gotta get ready for class...boo

Oh, this is really nice. I love it. It has a nice application. This is 3 coats. A real foily pink. I think this is a polish finish that I don't have a lot of. Or I get this confused with microglitter polish. But this one is a very obvious true foily pink.

Some glitter bomb for this morning.

I was inspired by the lovely nightly nails blog post! Argh stayed up late doing work. Then I took a break to do nails. This is NYX Inked Heart as the base. A nice dark blue. Then NYX Maven as a blue glitter layer. Then China Glaze Cleopatra as the gold glitter. Then NYX Maven again. Then to top it off with some lovely flakie goodness of Nubar 2010. woo. So pretty. So many layers.

Hey there! This is some more stamping I did Sunday. It was raining for a quick bit. Now it's sunny again. Strange earthquake weather. Yes. We did have a little earthquake! lol.

Some more stamping fun with bm16, Black Onyx. I know I really should find other colors. Revlon silver as the base.

I think I might change this now that the weather is sunny. The painting isn't perfect. I messed up on one finger and had to paint over it. Sorry I'm not a perfect painting blogger lady. I try.. but fail. haha

Oh well, I've come to conclusion that people who hate on my imperfectly painted nails are lame.

This is just a silly blog. You know like a diary of my nail fails/nail wins. I think I didn't know what I was doing in the past and I was trying to keep up with other nail bloggers because I thought I was supposed to as a nail blogger. You know oh you must have giveaways, show all the newest collections(um I'm sorry, I have limited monies), and show only perfect nails.. ehh. but I think that makes bloggin....um not fun. I'm just going to blog for fun. Especially. I'm not trying to please some ninny people who are just about hating people's nail or hating people's painting jobs, or people that demand nail bloggers have giveaways for them to be a reader and all that nonsense. Pink Zebra!!

Woo more stamping! I did this friday. I notice my fingers curve downward, so I had to restamp the bottoms. You can sort of see it overlapping.. but the pattern is so organic that it is not too noticable.

My right hand didn't stamp that well. And I nicked my ring finger as it wasn't fully dry.boo.

I used another one of my frankens. I love this franken formulas... It goes on really smooth and dries quick! lol and yes this is Black Onyx again. I should try other polish combos. I just knew these two would work well.

I'm not sure I like the zebra plate. This is the bm18 bundle monster plate. I think the zebra lines are a little too thick. I shall try other colors combos closer together. The black is prob too much contrast to the pink. or maybe reverse it so the black is the base color.

But I'm excited. woo stamping fun!
With practice I shall get better!

It is too hot to do nails......eh. I give up today. They still have kittys and fishys but are a little worn out. I gained much weight boo. I wore short skirt/skort today because it was really hot. Hey everyone, Ok, this is my first stamping post! I know. Seriously. I keep wanting to do nail art, but just make excuses. lol So, I'm going to make Friday stamp-art day. Something to keep me busy. My super amazing good friend left for med school in NYC...and we used to hang out a lot on the weekend. boo..and another "friend" who I used to hang out with a lot on the weekend turned out to be a very toxic person. So, it makes my weekends kind of boring at the moment.

Well, I have class Sat with my secret crush. He always makes me laugh. So, the weekends aren't so bad....I guess. heehee. Well, enough of that. This is a nail blog. Friday is nail time now! Focusing on art/design/nails helps me feel better...because I LOVE it! *sigh* lol anyway.

On my nails I used one of my franken polishes for the base. I used OPI: Black onyx for stamping. Black Onyx is good for stamping. I think I will make a little database or something with my polishes that go well with stamping. I used a plate BM04 from the bundle monsters.

I got it waaay back in December...

I tried stamping during the holidays...and kind of gave up on it. I sucked bad. I wish some of you blogger ladies lived near me. I would pay you guys for doing your amazing things on my nails. I think I have an attention/focus problem...because I really don't do this well. Hopefully, you won't laugh at my attempts
The kitty's tail and ear are not right. *sigh* I'm super excited, though.

Ok... so I changed the nail polish today after class.
I'm not used to wearing purples yet. lol.

I think it's good that I took a step out of myself and got something I might not normally get.
Well, here is rags to riches. I really like this one. I love me greens.
I don't think I have a dupe of this.. I hope...argh
It's metallic and has some silver kind of microglitter floating in it.
The bottle looks really frosty and different that's why I chose it.

I like this one. 3 coats.
The formula is good. Not too thick/thin.
The application is great... and the finish is really pretty.

This is what I got this weekend.
I got this Rimmel wild orchid and rags to riches- a green metallicy polish!
It was buy one get one half off at walgreens.

I usually don't wear purple.
I'm not sure I like purples yet.
It's not the same feeling like my love of pink... but this color is really nice.

First of all, the brush is amazing!
With the right amount of pressure you can brush your whole nail with one stroke!

However, I'm not that skilled as I almost got it with one-stroke but missed spots.
The formula is thick so you can get away with one coat. But. this is two.

The formula is thick and application is good.
But when this dried it bubbled a little though.
I'm not sure if it was my topcoat/or I had the window open.
*sigh* Oh, well, I still like it.

Maybe I will put some thinner in it as it is a little on the thick side.

NOTD - accent pink

Hmm well, this is really what I wore for the weekend.
The navy blue lasted a while..
but I wanted to extend it.

I put on OPI Teenage Dream as an accent on my left hand.
It took about 3-4 coats of pink glitter cover up the blue.

I don't like it when the accent is on BOTH left and right hands!

To me that is too much going on.
I would never do accents on both hands.

Well, this would probably only make sense to ppl who speak French....
.....but its like having two accents graves on one letter.
That's very grave indeed ..You need only one accent!

and I shall elaborate more...

To me the blue navy is the 'letter' ....and the accent is the pink.

I think I just made a little rant about something so silly. lol
But what triggered it was ...
I saw this girl on TV, I forgot her name..
but the show was called "Perfect Merger" or something like that..
She is like the black bachelorette...

It's kind of a dumb show.. but it's a guilty pleasure of mine
because some of those guys are hooooot..

She had this mani with two accents and I cringed a little.
I like her color combo.. though..

I dunno I don't care what other people do..
She can do many accents..

But I would prob not do 2 accents.
It really bothers my visual senses. lol

Compared to the last review I did..
...these lashes feel a lot lighter on my eyes.
I'm still figuring out makeup stuff..

hmm I accidentally squished part of the lash when I was applying it.
And I think it's better to put makeup on BEFORE the lash!

One eye has makeup dust on the eyelashes.

Mmm ok, I think I really like me some navy.
This one is almost like the rimmel midnight blue one but it has no shimmer.
sorry some pics are blurry. rushing to take pics today.
I need to make time for lots of school work now. lol

It is just pure jelly.
It's really opaque. You can get away with just one coat, which looks more jelly like.
But this is 2. the blue gets darker with more coats.

*on a different note, I think I have a little crush on one of my instructors.. shh
He's so so silly, goofy and really down to earth.. .
oh yeah ..
and waaaay intelligent. *so hot*

He's really tall too.
I'm pretty tall, so it's nice not to tower over a guy.

I've never had a teacher crush ever either.
It's fun to have little silly secret.

I think I'm going to revel in it.

This application is ok...a little gloopy.
These bottles are actually smaller than the paris holos.
6ml instead of 11.5 ml. ...
(argh..i'm a nail polish freak... I want more polish....!)

Oh well, the golden rose paris holos didn't have a blue...
so I got this version of holo.
I think the paris holos are a better deal..
as you pay just a little bit more for almost twice as much!
*sigh*
but I wanted blue..!
I like it... it's blue but almost silver as well.

Well, I love this color. I wasn't sure what to expect... as there is no name for this one. Just a number. The swatch on the website really doesn't look like the real product. But it's in the same color range, I guess. In real life this looks more reddish pink. I love it! So pigmented. It still is very pink to me even though the bottle looks red.

This is a nice application, very smooth. Two coats.

1. Sometimes my hauls are crazy and Ionly have pinks.. and ppl will say oh. those are all the same... it doesn't make sense..!!

I crazy! It makes sense to me!

2. I don't want to actually know the exact amount of money I spent on a nail polish haul...so baad.
3. I don't 'haul' that often because I'm a student..
..but the most I will spend is 40 dollars on polish..at one time to me that's a LOT..
and I feel kinda bad spending it on something so silly...
but it makes me happy and it's not drugs/alchy or something like that....****

It's just that sometimes I feel should be more 'productive' and buy a book/art/design things something more 'useful'.
but nail polish is kinda like art...so yeah I justify it.. lol.

Well, I got these from goldenroseusa.com. I saw one of my fav blogger ladies 'another bottle of poliish'' buy her haul. I needed to check it out! My first golden rose purchase! 25 dollars. Very affordable for 8 polishes.

They are all holos!! I love that they look like they are in the shape of little Eiffel towers!

arh. I got this in a golden rose holo haul. boo they don't label all the bottles though. argh I just looked at this one and it doesn't have a name or number. I forgot what color this is... and I threw away the receipt. argh. well I will try to deduce this one later. I go sleepy now. I have a slight persistent cold since last week. I thought it would go away, but I finally bought some cough medicine. I feel loopy .

I know I swatched this before. However, I think I was in a rush and used thicker coats so the thing never dried. So, I tried again with smaller coats and my favorite topcoat--that blue Orly topcoat stuff... hmmph running out. I need to get more.

From Left to Right:

Color Club -Wildflower, Sinful Colors - Thimbleberry, Essie - Peach Daquiri, Eyeko - Coral Polish

All of these are 2 coats. All of the formulas were great for this batch of corals. Wildflower is the most pigmented. This is a really pretty reddish coral . Thimbleberry is the most 'coral'. Peach Daquiri is the most sheer and peachy. VNL at two coats. Eyeko Coral polish and Wildflower look like the closest but Wildflower is a bit more pigmented and red than Eyeko Coral.

Ahh so many corals to compare! I think I have to come back to this project and find some dupes.

*Sorry about the state of my nails. I'm moving.. and my cuticles/nails are actually becoming really rough from all the moving boxes.

These are all two coats. Many Corals! I showed my mom my nails. She said that they all looked the same...Lol.

But let's critique for nail polish freaks.

1. Sinful: Big Daddy is the most orange... not pink

2. Pro NailCare - Fresh - really nice formula for something at the dollar tree

3. Wet N Wild - Blazed- Lightest pinkish coral. Needs many more coats for opaque-ness.

4. Zoya - Kara more orange than pink..Nice application. I think Big Daddy is a close dupe.

This shampoo is what I used on Sunday. I think so far this is the best shampoo I've tried. This goes in my favorite shampoo list. This makes my hair soft and keeps the mositure. My hair is dry naturally so this keeps the moisture in. It has a lotion consistency when used. I like this a lot!

Man, I have a lot of these pinky coral type of colors. I should try to compare them soon. I think they all kind of look different in the bottle (that's why I keep buying them) but in reality they all end up the same on my hand. No more corals for me. lol This is 4 coats. It's a little squishy. VNL at 3 coats. But it has a nice smooth application. Nothing too thick.

Ruby Kisses - Cheezums
Well, I wanted to try this new Ruby Kisses line I saw at my local addiction store/beauty store across the street. The formula is annoying and thick... and the brush is wider than the original Ruby Kisses! Therefore, the application is really messy.

The brush is this hard plastic, so it's impossible to use thin layers, because there will be big brush strokes. And this polish dries weird too... semi matte semi shiny.....? This is 3 coats. This costs one more dollar than the original Ruby Kisses. Why...more money? 2.99...? The formula is not good. I don't think I will be trying anymore from this line.

I like this polish. Nice formula. Nice light pink color. I think I might have to stock up on this one. Cheap and cute pink cream to wear all the time...ahaha I love me pink... I think it's kind of not normal. *sigh* Anyways. This is a 3 coater swatch. It dries shiny too, so you don't really need a top coat. This is a swatch.... it has no top coat.

Um.. hmm. not sure where my mom got this.. maybe online at amazon/walgreens. I googled the price and it's about 8 dollars.

Product Claim:

"Eliminates tangles on contact. Softens hair, defines curl pattern. Stops breakage while combing curly, kinky, coily and wavy hair. Hair Detangler is rich with moisturizers, protein and conditions. Coats and protects hair while softening. For best results, use the complete line of Black Earth Products."

Well, I really like this product. This is probably one of my favorites so far. It does not really define my curls at all, but it really just smooths my hair out- no tangles or breakage. So, it does mostly what it claims. You don't need a lot of product to soften the hair. so I won't be needing to buy this every other week. It is not greasy/oily. Product buildup is minimal with this product. Also, I REALLY like how it smells. Not too strong or overpowering.

Trying out the whole crackle trend. hmm with China Glaze Crushed Candy and Finger Paints My Art Belongs to you. This crackle was a little thick, so I put some thinner in it. I think I need to put a little more in, but I ran out of my thinner. I like this color combo. My left hand didn't crackle as much because I probably waited a bit too long and the underpolish dried fast. So many layers of polish. lol 4 from the otherday + 1 more pink layer + crackle. 6 layers of polish!

Nail polish time! I really want to love this pink....but I can't.. I don't hate it. I just was sooo close to really loving this polish.. lol *sigh* It's pink with slight blue/purple flashes of color. But it a little bit too sheer, as it has VNL at 3 coats. If it was more opaque, I would love it. The application is smooth. Argh but this is 4 coats. :-(

We have to move by july 30th. My family are kind of mini hoarder people!
There is a lot of crap we have to get rid of/pack.

Well, I'm a nail polish hoarder. But, I'm broke student person; I can't accumulate a lot.

We really don't really get rid of anything! floppy disks....? really..and i'm talking about the really old ones that are big and black... ehhh

We are moving into a smaller place. So, maybe they will get rid of all the crap.

I cut my nails because they are all brittle. I've just been using some cheapy cvs remover. boo never again. My nail broke off when I was rummaging through items at the thrift town. I got this Fingerpaints sexy pink baby at the thrift town for 69 cents!

They have so much stuff at that place I can't believe this caught my attention. I never see polish there, but out of the corner of my eye I saw pink polish!

I love this color!

The application is great too! It dries so shiny and bright as well.

I don't know if this is a jelly...I think it's almost a jelly. Well. It's bright. It's pink. I like it. That's what counts. I think that this goes on my favorite pink list.

*it's hard to get the right color. sorry. I'm using a borrowed camera on a borrowed computer because my system died. My camera doesn't have the right drivers/software/etc to go on this slow little tiny pc computer.
*ehh and i hate the new blogger draft format. It won't let me do simple things like make pics the size I want!

Oooh I really like this product. I already have thick hair, so I don't know how well it works as its claim. This is from my mom's hair stash. I LOVE IT. It actually keeps and defines my curl pattern. It makes my hair super soft and movable...You know when you move your head your hair moves too...!

This stuff makes my dry tangled mess into more defined curls of lovely. If I was brave, I could actually wear my hair down with this product... but the weather here is too weird for that. Morning fog = big poofy hair mess and goodbye to defined curls.

Well, I love this product! The only problem is that I use a lot of it. At the rate I'm going I could probably finish a whole bottle in 2 weeks. LOL. It's 10 dollars at the Walgreens. 40 dollars a month for hair product...boo

It smells nice too...like lotion.

A HAUL finally!
ehh.. We have roaches! The exterminator came today and I needed to be out of the house.Yuck. I think my family is going to move out after this month.

So, I was out of the house and I went thrift shopping/nail polish shopping. Haven't bought polish since Jan! omg. The beauty store next door has so much new polish. Before, they only offered gross and yuck old ass polish. With some nice Sinful/Ruby Kisses. Now, they have a whole big display of OPI, NYX, and RUBY KISSES . New Ruby Kisses wow! I got one in orange!

And they started selling china glaze crackle! I think it was kind of expensive though...5.99. boo but I guess I don't have to pay shipping, etc. I bought 2. One for me..and one for a lovely reader to win. AND I got 2 pink finger paints polishes at 69 cents each at the thrift store. Oh boy I spent lots of money.

A BIG YUCKY GREASY YUCK MESS!
This is the WORST hair product I have ever put on my hair.
I didn't use this for a week. I used this for one day.
It is so greasy. If you want your hair to feel like it is in an oil refinery then use this.
Ehh yuck. It looks and feels like lotion, but it's just grease when it dries.
I think the main culprit is the mineral oil. They must have put in all of it.
This product should be banned.
It took about 4/5 washes to get this greasy crap out of my hair.
Disgusting.
*It is not Sunday...but I do hair things on Sunday late night/almost Monday. lol.

Hair Sunday... um belated posted. For the whole last week, I used Roots of Nature: Mango Oil and Capuacu Butter. Cost: $6.99. This is really nice product. The smell is pretty strong, though. *I think I don't like a lot of fragrance; so, I may be biased* I prefer the Wen fragrance over this one as this fragrance is a lot stronger.

The product says that it hydrates/moisturizes hair, but I think it's more of a sealant because the top three ingredients are oil and butter. You apply this product on wet hair. The sealant holds in the water well, and it keeps my hair stretched out when I put it in braids. However, it is slightly oily. On a scale of 1-10 the oil factor is about a 2. It may be a factor for you if you are prone to breakouts--as my skin is prone to them.

*My hair likes being taken care of... lol. It's less of a ball of knots.. and more soft/easy to style in my signature protective bun hair styles. Ok, I have to pick the next product for this week!

Ok, so I think I've caught a marbling faze. This is fun. I'm addicted to making it work. My thumb made a pattern that looked like pink french tips... so I just made them all with tips later on. I think I'm just going to water marble all summer! So fun! Ahahaha.

I can't stop using the Sinful Fusion Neon, either! It always calls me for fun manis like this. I need a black light to have fun with this more. I still have to get used to Color Club: Yell-Oh..it just looks so strange like slime/sickly nails. However, the pink neon more than makes up for it!!!

*side note...They should have a marble polish. I'm not a fan of crackle.. but I would sooooo get a marble polish.

I'm a nail polish hoarder... but my mom is a hair product junkie!

I haven't been taking good care of my hair. So to keep me motivated, on Sundays I'm going to review the hoards of hair products that she gets.

This whole week I used Wen Cleansing Conditioner. I used it more as a leave in conditioner. I wet my hair, put some of this conditioner on, and braided it at night. As it says, you can use it as a leave in conditioner as well.

My hair likes it. Wen makes it much softer!
The only problem is that I'm not fond of the smell...
AND this baby is EXPENSIVE!

Um wow. It's a big bottle, so to save money....
I would just use it as a leave-in-conditioner.

This is how long my hair is now.
I bet it would be longer if I actually took care of it.

Ok so I 'fixed' the jelly sandwich yeek by adding another layer of 5 stars magenta glitter. I think there are too many layers now. I might just start from scratch. *sigh* Hopefully the next polish adventure will be better.
