I'm His Breezy - swatches and review

, , , 0 Comments

Here is my fotd. I used I'm His Breezy palette by Wet N Wild. It is an okay palette. The colors are a little chalky and some are not that pigmented. The browbone especially is not pigmented well. These swatches are all without primer.

On my face I used nyx eye primer to get more pigmentation on the eyeshadow.I used  ruby kisses foundation in caramel, and la femme blush in orange. For my lips I used a wet n wild clear lip gloss.

Neutral Holiday Fotd

Here is a neutral face, with copper eyes! I am off to a low key holiday party.

For my face I used ruby kisses all over glow for eyeshadow, a no name brown lipstick, and la femme blush in plum frost. I love plum frost. It gives a little bit of shimmer to the cheeks.

I should also do something with my eyebrows but I do not want to look like I am constantly mad or some other weird look. I will play around more with makeup...maybe even trying with eyelashes! My hair was curled using curlformers and pinned under.

Eye of the Day: Metallic Silver

, , , , 0 Comments

I am trying metallic for the holidays. Today is silver. I am not much of a silver person, but I wanted to try it to see if it would grow on me. I think metallic eyeshadows look really good on dark skin because they really pop. I am going to find some silver glitter or more silver pigments now.  I think tomorrow I will try gold/bronze for Christmas Eve. But today here is silver metallic eye with the eyeshadow palette Blue Had Me at Hello.

Hope you are doing well!

Blue Had Me At Hello

, , , 0 Comments

Here is a wet n wild eyeshadow palette that I have had  for a while but never swatched, blue had me at hello. I really like this palette as the colors are very shimmery. The blacks though are a little disappointing. They are not that pigmented and the shimmery one with glitter barely shows the glitter. But overall i like this pallete. Good for smokey blue eyes.

Hair Length Check 1

Hello again. I decided I want to try to grow my natural hair out longer. So I am going to document it, every year or half year to make sure I am progressing. I straightened it with a flat iron...( will only uses heat sparingly). But let's see my hair at its start....Now it is about eleven inches when I stretch it out.

Hope you are doing well!

Maybelline Color Tattoos

Maybelline Color Tattoos are some of my favorite eyeshadows. They last forever. I have a tendency to forget I have eyeshadow on and rub my eyes. These stand the test of not rubbing off. I love these I want them in all the colors. Hehe the only bad thing is that they are hard to blend and I would recommend using fingers to apply because they will not do well with brushes.

  •  Pink gold looks more gold on dark skin.
  • Painted purple is a pretty bright purple.
  • Bad to the bronze is a shimmery neutral color. One of my favorites.
  • Pomegranate punk is a light pink on my dark skin.
  • Electric blue is a beautiful navy blue.

Hope you are doing well!

Ugly Christmas Sweater Fail

Here is a fail. Hardest mani yet. I tried to do a Christmas Sweater pattern but it is too intricate for me as most of the nails are not straight. I did okay on my index finger, but the rest are pretty messy.Heh oh wells I like the colors and from afar it looks cool, so I am keeping it on for a few days or tomorrow depending on how bored I get with it.

Hope you are doing well!

Eye of the Day: Orange and Yellow

Here is my eye of the day. I love this orange color. I think orange looks good on darker skin tones. I need to get more orange eyeshadow, like a shimmery one, or a more metallic one. Any suggestions? Hehe well I used the palette from wet n wild- art on the street. I used the yellow for the inner lid, the orange for the outer lid, and purple for the crease...(The purple is lame though, it has about zero pigmentation) I tried not to blend too much because the colors have low pigmentation and I did not want to erase the colors.

Hope you are doing well!

Swatches - Wet n Wild Art on the Street

This is Wet n Wild: art on the street. They are swatches without primer. This eyeshadow palette comes with colorful shades. I rarely see orange eyeshadow. But this is an okay palette. I think they are too chalky. I wish the purple was more pigmented as well. It barely shows up on the eye, even with primer.  Overall, I like the orange, green, and blue colors the best. So, I don't feel like it was a complete waste.
Hope you are doing well!

La Femme Blush Swatches

, , , , 0 Comments

Here are some lovely blushes. I love la femme. I was not a blush person because the blushes never showed up on my skin. But these do. La femme blushes are perfect for dark skin. I have one mac blush in raizin but that is about all for other brands of blushes.

Russet, cinnabar, and sienna all look good for a natural glow.
Framboesia is the loudest color, very bright, use sparingly.

  • Brick Red is a brownish red.Cinnabar is a shimmery light brown.
  • Framboesia is a bright pink with sparkles.
  • Russet is a reddish brown some say a dude for raisin. It is good for natural flush.
  • Terracotta is a shimmery pinkish orange.
  • Heather is a matte beige. Good for highlights.
  • Coral is a pretty coral matte blush. The picture doesn't capture it well.
  • Grape is a dark mauve shimmer.
  • Peach is a light matte pink.
  • Bordeaux is a shimmery burgundy. Good for dark skin tones.
  • Sienna is a matte brown.
  • Mocha is a brownish matte pink.
  • Fuchsia is a medium matte pink.
  • Red is a bright shimmery red.
  • Mulberry is a pretty pink matte blush.
  • Orange is a beautiful matte orange. One of my favorites.
  • Plum frost is a shimmery bronze pink. I love this blush.
  • Coral spice is a shimmery light pink.
  • Golden Sunset is an online other beauty. A  bronze shimmery with orange undertone.
  • Orchid Ice is a shimmery medium pink

I love them all. I cannot pick my favorite.

They are inexpensive on Makeup Mania website. You can buy just that color for 3.50 and put them in a a palette. I bought a couple and then kept buying them because I loved the colors. I might depot them and put them in a palette but it is too much work right now. Anyways, Here are my swatches of my favorite blushes:
